typing health shows a percentage. personally i think we should
have cooler words. like "about to vomit", "could still fit in a
snack", "just had dinner", "burrito time", "stomach's grumbling",
"will sell body for food", and "africa".

Also, I'd write a game on my TI82 if I really wanted to just juggle numbers.
The text is what fleshes out the game.
I'm sure some folks would prefer to see this in combat to:
You hit elf for 123.462 damage.
You hit elf for 134.22 damage.
Elf rolls a successful dodge.
Instead of the flavor text we get now :) |

If we're going to go with 'Africa' as the state of greatest hunger,
the most appropriate label for the opposite end of the scale should
probably be 'Texas'.
Also, 'Burrito time' is not a state of hunger, it's a state of drunkenness.
