Given that we've got honor of the gods for hps, and endowment of the
gods for eps, is there any reason there's no similar skill that
pertains to sps? If not, we should get one.

And by get one I mean pretty please will someone code it.

I think we had this at one point, long ago.

It could be argued that casters get a shitload more sp regen than
fighter types get ep regen, so it's a lot easier to justify EotG
than it would be to justify an equivalent mastery for spr.

Can't really make a direct comparison between the two, given sps are
(in the majority of cases) where all the damage/healing/general
effectiveness of casters come from, while people with EotG do melee
damage as well.

Plus generally there's a shitload more to regen in the way of sps than eps

You should note that a maxxed healer can easily refresh 800-1k eps
in 2 rounds, with about 150-200 sps (havent been healer for too long
so i'm not sure of costs).. However, there is only ONE skill to
restore sps, and that is lay hands, takes enough time for you to
walk to your fridge, grab a can of drink and walk back to your
computer/laptop, and it restores like 200 sps..

What does the whole story means? It means that spr is worth more
than eps, and implementing spr version of endowment would mean that
it can and will ONLY exist in a WAY downtuned manner (provided it is
actually implemented). Casters will almost ALWAYS regard spr as one
of the most important stats to consider while leveling and getting
EQ. On the other hand, there are almost no fighters there who would
do so for epr; epr would be an optional bonus stat if it exists in
their EQ.

-HP, after endless idling for more than half a month.

Don't forget crapfires & animist herbs for druids, dream of
wellsprings in the witch tree, and regeneration trance for evokers -
though this last one is self-only. Add a well-trained bard to any eq
party and it's unlikely to suffer from sp tappage to any noticable
degree, likewise for exp parties if the casters have decent sets,
though no amount of bardage will prevent a melee party from tapping
eps quickly.

As Crabstick put it, casters and melee types are quite different,
and cannot be directly compared; the lack of an sp equivalent to
HoG/EoG is an appropriate reflection of that difference.

not to mention diffuse magic, mana drain, and soul drain.
