i've always liked the idea of a greater luck wish, which would give
you a boosted effect to random occurence things like finding
potions, getting lucky hits, getting better gems, etc.

Leaving out the fact that 'luck' is an aspect that is undefinable
and unmeasurable except in terms of retrospect, if you want a game
based on luck, there are plenty others out there. On PSU, for
example, luck affects whether the mob that drops the board you want
will appear, then it affects whether the item board drops, then it
affects whether the board synthesises successfully, then it affects
what elemental attribute % the item has, then 10x in a row it
affects whether or not your attempt to upgrade the item is
successful. And, any failure is permanent. Much fun for those who
like to test their luck!
