| I propose that statistics be made visible on equipment upon 'l'ooking at it. As far as I know, there is only one ability available in one guild to identify items (potentially more, but certainly not something available to most characters). I understand that this is some sort of luxury, but I for one would severly enjoy a bit more transparency in this game where possible. I don't expect you to be able to divine special properties of an item, but being able to check stats on items to compare upgrades could be significantly easier Currently, the only way to do this is to remove equipment and check (which doesn't help a lot with SPR), or use daran's stat database. Why not just make it visible on equipment? I can't imagine the implementation being too difficult. We already have player stat databases, why not just go that small step further and allow it visible on items. Would certainly be a welcome, useful, balanced fix that I think everyone would appreciate. P.S. "Because it's the way we've always done it" is never a good reason to keep doing something. I don't think it would fundamentally change the feel or atmosphere of the mud. |

| why not just pay the scribe in veldren's tower to id the item if you don't have the spell? costs 15k and it's in illium, if you can't bother to do that then i think it's kind of on your own head. |
