made the chance to kill the mob heavily dependant on your shirija
effectiveness. before it was pretty much static and just varied by
mob level. now it varies by mob level and also is pretty directly
impacted by your abilities with her.

only shirija cult leader is capable of avoiding a downtune on that.

Where does Shirija avatar fall into place now? Mord is solo with
stun res, talakh is ooga booga deathblow, lloth is for partying
since it doesn't move you when it drops in combat. It would seem
odd that I would ever choose Shirija avatar over Mordulak when
soloing.

Also not quite sure what you mean by cult leader avoiding a
downtune. Could you elaborate perhaps?

Finally, there is a typo in the Shirija getting ticked off msg. It
says appreciate instead of appreciation. Also, I kept getting the
healing bonus from sacrifice to shirija after she got mad, not sure
if that's a big deal or not.

One other thing, I think you're flipping the message about how much
she ignores. When I try to sac right after pissing her off, it says
she ignores a little of your sacrifice, versus after casting a bunch
of stuff she said she ignores most of my sacrifice. I think it
should say "accepts" rather than "ignores" there.

shirija avatar is good for parties. it vastly increases your wis and
spr. also has pretty good specials.

as far as the cult leader avoiding a downtune, what i mean by that
is that the chance for the mob to die when you are saved is based on
the mastery with shirija. only a cult leader has the potential to be
'fully' in tune with shirija, and thus only the cult leader has the
'full' chance to cause mob to die. that being said, they don't have
the full chance if shirija is angry with them.

Also just some follow up to this, Shirija avatar isn't good for
parties. I tried it a while ago and since the body has a special
where she stops combat in the room, it makes everyone break their
concentration and I don't think is really worth a boost in wis and
spr at the cost of a really frustrating special and then a drop to
1hp/1sp/1ep.

Still not sure where it's meant to fit in now, it would be nice if
we could come up with another purpose for it.

I think your problem here is that you assumed that the avatar forms
had specific uses in mind, rather than just being interesting and
different.

Well, to the mere mortal it seems like there was some intention :)

Morde gives stun res and blood, which is primarily used for
healing, but you only get blood for healing if you are getting hit
and taking damage. Mordulak's spell also only works if you are
getting hit, so it's pretty rational it's for soloing/tanking.
Lloth doesn't put you in a safe spot when it falls, so it would not
be meant for tanking.
Etc.

mordulak did not originally give stun res. nothing did.

Lloth is immuned to poison. So desert area would be good for using lloth. All you have to do is make a timer. not that hard at all.
