| anyone know if gem size or type has an influence on quality/duration of power crystals. things like if i make a crystal out of just onyxes is it better than a mix gem one. or if i use 1 15k gem is better than 15 1k gems, etc etc

My testing has been based on cost and how 'big' the shining purple power crystals are based on total blasts I've gotten...which I've simply checked by using the total blasts shown in success_rate before and after I've charged a totally drained crystal.
d What I saw was about a 15% increase in total blasts for gems made using the most expensive crystals (15k+ diamonds, etc) vs. the cheap ones (less than 5k/ea). The key diff was price per shining purple crystals, as that 15% gain in total blasts/charge cost roughly 300% more in gold costs to create (60k gold or more per gem vs. about 20k gold per gem).
Bottom line, I found that you can get more blasts per power crystal by creating them with high quality (more expensive) gems, but the amount of blasts you gain by doing so is _hardly_ equal to the difference in the costs of those gems - in any case, there is defintely a postitive difference. |

| size and value both play a part in crystal creation from what i have seen. using large gems and expensive gems will indeed potentially create a crystal that lasts longer. however, all it will add is duration to the crystal, and the chances are that if you had sold the gems that you used to make 1 really nice power crystal, you could probably have made 2 less nice magenta ones that would have lasted less time individually, but lasted longer in combination.

| it was my experience that selling more expensive gems and buying cheaper ones was generally more economical, though it may have meant that i drained slightly more often than i would have had i used better quality gems. |
